Children from ages 6-12 may opt to be dismissed each each week for the Liturgy of the Word (the readings and homily).  They go with catechists to Capistrano Meeting Room to hear age-appropriate versions of the readings, sing, and engage in activities and discussion that reinforce each week's Gospel Message.  They then return to their families in the Church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. There is no sign up.  Children are invited to just come forward at the 9:15 AM Mass whenever they attend.
