A Note from Fred:

This week, I would like to describe a third area of Casa Faith Formation: "Youth Ministry." 

 

The U.S. Bishops spell out for us their vision of Catholic Youth Ministry through their document Renewing the Vision.   Although the document never formally describes Youth Ministry, in the spirit of Renewing the Vision, we describe Casa Youth Ministry as such: 

 

Ongoing faith formation through which adolescents and their families live out their baptismal call within the life of our community.

 

This ministry is challenging for us at the Casa because our teenagers, like the rest of our community, are not all from one geographical area.  They also go to many different schools, which means that we need to contend with many different calendars.  But we are up to the challenge and hope to grow this ministry in the future
