A Note from Fred:
The fifth and final area of Casa Faith Formation is "Sacrament Preparation Ministry."
I purposefully waited to present this ministry last because this is what most people think of when they hear the term "faith formation." Although sacrament preparation is very important, I want to stress that the other ministries are just as important and that faith formation does not end once the sacraments are administered.
With that said, all Catholics live by the sacramental principle:
The grace of God that is in all of Creation must be recognized, acknowledged and celebrated sometime, somewhere.
The model that we use for sacrament preparation at all levels and ages is the Initiation Model which is gradual, progressive, developmentally sensitive and wherever possible family-centered and intergenerational. Commitment, conversion, intentional faith and such terms aptly describe the “hidden agenda” of all learning in these diverse contexts.
